Common questions

Where do the prices come from?

Market data by CoinGecko. Figures refresh when the app opens, when it returns to the foreground, when you pull down on a list, and every few minutes while it stays open.

Why does a price differ from my exchange?

The app shows a reference price that combines figures from many trading venues. It can differ slightly from the price on any single exchange at the same moment, and more so for smaller coins traded on fewer venues.

What does “Saved figures” mean?

The latest refresh did not complete, so the app is showing the most recent saved copy. Check the connection and pull down to refresh.

When does a limit order fill?

Open limit orders are checked on each refresh. A buy fills at your limit when the reference price is at or below it; a sell fills when the price is at or above it.

How are fees and average cost worked out?

Each fill records a 0.10% fee. Buy fees are added to the average cost; sell fees are taken from the proceeds.

What are milestones?

Price levels you choose for any coin on the Summits tab. A milestone is marked reached when a refresh shows the price has crossed it.

Can I add a note to a record?

Yes. Every confirmation card has an optional note field. The note stays with the entry in History and is included when you export.

How do I start over or keep a copy of my history?

Portfolio → Reset clears your records and lets you pick a new starting balance. Portfolio → Export creates a CSV file of your history.
